Gold filled jewelry is created by a process called pressure-bonding which adheres solid gold sheets (5% gold by weight) on top of a brass core while the process of gold plating is where a minuscule layer of gold is applied over a base metal . Gold filled jewelry has a measurable amount of gold in it (5%) versus the amount of gold in gold plated is so tiny that its technically considered unmeasurable (less than .05%).
Permanent jewelry, especially pieces crafted from solid gold, requires no maintenance and will never tarnish. Gold-filled jewelry, while more affordable, is also made to last — the thick layer of real gold is mechanically bonded to a base metal, making it highly durable and resistant to tarnishing, peeling, chipping, or discoloration.
However, like all fine jewelry, it’s best to avoid exposure to harsh chemicals, cleaning products, perfumes, lotions, and chlorine, as these can affect the finish and longevity of the piece over time.
Gold filled jewelry is generally safe for sensitive skin. It’s safe to wear your gold filled jewelry on the daily, and is hypoallergenic! Gold filled items are the next best thing to solid gold jewelry. It’s high quality and beautiful.
The best and easiest way to clean your permanent jewelry is using some dish soap, a soft bristle toothbrush, and water.
Though our piece are long lasting, we still do not recommend them coming in direct contact with lotions, oils, perfumes, and other chemicals. This can dull your pieces and reduce their shine. Clean your jewelry more frequently if you live a more active lifestyle.
As the summer approaches please be sure to clean your jewelry off immediately after using a chlorine pool. Especially if you are in the pool daily!
Our jewelry is expertly welded and designed for everyday wear—but how long you wear your permanent piece is entirely up to you!
Please note that permanent does not mean indestructible or forever. Treat your jewelry with the same care as any fine jewelry. While it doesn’t have a clasp, it can still break if it gets snagged, pulled, or frequently bumped.
We use delicate, dainty chains for safety reasons—they are designed to break if caught to prevent injury. Please be mindful of your dainty permanent jewelry to keep it in the best condition.
Policy Reminder:
- We do not offer refunds or replacements for any lost jewelry.
- We offer complimentary re-welds within 120 days of your initial appointment.

Yes — lab-grown diamonds are real diamonds. They have the same physical, chemical, and optical properties as natural diamonds, including identical brilliance, fire, and sparkle.
The only difference is their origin: lab diamonds are created in a controlled environment rather than formed in the earth. Even trained gemologists often need specialized equipment to tell them apart.
On average, custom diamond jewelry takes 4–6 weeks to complete. This includes the time needed for design approval, molding, stone setting, and final polishing.
Timelines may vary depending on the complexity of the design and availability of materials. Once your piece is complete, it will be shipped according to your selected delivery method.
Yes! We offer both natural and lab-grown diamonds for custom pieces.
Lab-grown diamonds are an eco-friendly and more affordable alternative, offering the same brilliance, durability, and quality as natural diamonds.
Lab-grown options are available with or without an IGI certificate, depending on your preference and budget.
